You know what is frusurating...when whenever you walk into your house your parents (mom and step-dad in my case) are watching Bill O'reilly like he is a god...he's an idiot. It's not like I hate him because he's conservative because that would be the same thing that bugs me so much about my mom and step-dad. Anything that isn't conservative or republican they automatically dismiss as being wrong or stupid. They don't even bother to understand the other side of issues and whenever I try to show them the other side they don't listen...I believe my mom has actually once plugged her ears and sand "LA LA LA LA LA LA" as loud as she could...so frustrating. <br /><br />It's getting that every day during the week I spend looking forward to the weekend. I'm tired of always looking forward to something, or preparing for things. I want to live for once in the present...<br /><br />"You're like the son I never had"<br />"And you're like the father I never visit"<br /> -Simpsons<br /><br />OHHHHH ANOTHER SIMPSONS QUOTE<br /><br />"The engine room has sprung a leak!!!
Man I enjoy a good fun weekend night. This Saturday definitely was one of those. I hung out with Griz and Madison all night and man was it entertaining. I am pretty pissed that the guys lost against Clackamas...usualy I would care less but now it has slight repercussions for yours truly. Now that basketball is over, all the baseball players that were playing basketball are back and we have to run the 6:30 mile...I'm in bad shape so it will be very challenging...I'm thinking I can pull of a 6:45 and that's it. Well I'm going to go enter the shower since I feel rather oily at the moment. <br /><br />Good day to you all.

    <lj:music>Weezer- In the Garage</lj:music>

For those of you who are privileged enough to know Madison Elizabeth Wilson you have probably already read her journal describing how me and her went to Subway and sat in there for seriously an hour. She briefly (i before e except after c going through my head) touched upon a little something called the PLAZA ALLIANCE. The plaza alliance is the single most cool thing ever...everyone who works in the Lake Oswego Plaza (Taco Bell, Subway, Noah's, Albertsons, Jamba Juice) exchange goods from their respective business with each other. It's awesome guys from Taco Bell come into Subway and give them a burrito in exchange for say a MEATBALL sub. No money ever changes hands in these transactions either...it's just stunning to me at how cool this is. I would love to be involved in the plaza alliance but A. I don't want to work and B. I'm not cool enough. Madison was cool enough however, as she once was involved in the plaza alliance. She told me fascinating stories about when she worked at Noah's and exchanged bagels for Jamba Juices...so rad. After sitting in Subway for an hour we searched for something to do (since nate and griz were still not back from the wrestling championship yet) and we came up empty handed...we ended up going to her house and watching Strangers with Candy...it was hilarious. Then we played hockey in the street with CARAZAY clothes on and a pumpkin that a car would later run over for a puck....GOOD TIMES<br /><br />Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and if I don't see you, goodnight.

The hopes and prayers of countless Oregonian children have been answered: the first snow related school closure in years. The best memories I have are of playing in the snow with my brother and sister. We would seriously be outside from 7 in the morning 'till it got dark, those were the days. <br /><br />I can't wait until summer. That seems like a weird thing to say since it is snowing outside, but really summer rocks. I was just day-dreaming about summer in math on Monday and I realized how much ass it really kicks. I might complain about having baseball almost everyday in the summer but it ain't that bad. Just sleep in, then go to a friends until 2:30, then show up at the field at 3:00. After that I would get home at like 8:00 then I had until midnight...it sounds pretty good in the middle of the school year, let me tell you.<br /><br />My friends kick ass.

Man oh man does it feel good to be officially on break. I can't believe it's already Christmas Eve. So far this winter break has been excellent. The highlight has been just hanging out with some neat people. I met Brittany and Chrysi's friend Madison and she rocks. Seriously though, she is 100 percent hilarious. She and Brittany go well together; they have a lot of fun. Grizzly, Brittany, Madison and I watched this show called Strangers with Candy for like 3 hours on DVD. It's the funniest show ever created. I am really excited for Christmas tomarrow since I already know that I am getting, an electric guitar. Actualy, I wish I didn't know what I was getting, because that makes it more fun. Either way I can't wait to jam away on my electric tommarow. I think I'll name it Mildrid after my grandma, since I named my acoustic Lucille after my other grandma. Of course you can call them Milly and Lucy for short if you want.
This weekend was pretty chill even though I really didn't do anything but watch movies. On friday everyone was going to the guys b-ball game at Wilson or something, but I didn't have any money so I stayed in safe little Lake Oswego and watched like 3 movies with Brittany. That was super chill. On saturday I did pretty much the same thing except Brittany was at winter formal and I was with Blake, Rob and Josh instead, it was still chill. We had to do like an hour of labor for Mrs. Fedderson, but its chill. We had to haul these huge cabinets up and down the stairs and like take apart and reassemble a chill bed frame. It was a huge hassle, but she paid us 10 bucks which was in a word, Chill. TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LAZZZZZZZZZZay connor.

And will someone please tell me where they get those god damn gigantic bows they put on the top of the car. They cap off the commercial by using the most annoying slogan ever, "Come see us today for the December to remeber sales event." <lj:music>The Band- The Weight</lj:music>

To escape the hum-drum of city life my dad and I decided we would escape to awe-inspiring Central Oregon. While my comrads were transfixed in their regular weekend routine I was whizzing down the slopes of Oregon's finest mountain, Mt. Bachelor. It felt unbelievably good to finally do something new, and for once, exciting. We practically had the mountain to ourselves and the conditions were excellent. We left our house at 4:00 in the morning on saturday and we were on the mountain by 9:00. That night I was so tired that I fell asleep at 7:30. We woke up at 6:45 sunday morning and we were on the first chair at 8:00. Right now I'm watching a brand-spanking new Simpsons. I am pleased to report that The Simpsons are steadily getting better and better. Well I must go for now, goodbye for now my beautiful lads and lassies. I am going to watch my first and only love, T.V.

What could have easily been a setting straight out of a Robert Frost Poem, Lake Oswego was covered in a blanket of divine white. From the first flake 'till the last, I will be always be captivated by the glorious feeling that such a simple, yet complex parcel of nature can evoke. Today I enjoyed the snow by sledding with Chrysi and Sarah. While my hands were freezing and my feet were soaked, I enjoyed every second of this all-too rare experience. I am really hoping that it snows overnight so we can miss school tommarow...The outlook is not good however.

    <lj:music>Pink Floyd- In the Flesh</lj:music>

Rumors are running rapant through Lakeridge High that the system that calls your house to say you weren't at school doesn't work. With a keen ear you can hear them being whispered in the halls and being told under hushed voices in the library. With a keen eye you can read them on the notes that are past in class. The writing is on the wall, the school is chaos, of course the system that calls your house to say that you weren't at school doesnt work right? Well ladies and gentleman this is all too untrue, for I have learned this the hard way. I know it's stupid to ditch a class, but I was unbelievably tired and I felt a little queesy. So I did it, I left school at 12:35 instead of 2:45, man I felt like a rebel. I only wish that the rebelish feeling could have lasted, for now I just feel stupid. So about four hours after I decided to leave school, I go to Josh Levine's house because Brittany called me from there. Like 5 minutes after I got there I called my mom and she is pissed, "Come home now, you're in trouble." My head was swirling with thoughts on what I could have done to get me into trouble, or more appropriatly, what could she have found out about. It turns out that in those 10 minutes I was at Josh's, the school called to say I was absent, my mom came home and she listened to the message that the school left(if only I didn't go to Josh's). Well I told my mom that I was in the downstairs gym playing basketball and that I couldn't hear the bell ring. I said I was 10 minutes late to class and that I slipped into the classroom without Mr. Porter seeing me and that he probably just forgot to correct the thing that said I was absent. Well I'm the thrird child and my mom is well educated in the ways of lying teenagers, so she called my bluff, "Well then I will e-mail Mr. Porter to see if you're telling the truth." Through clinched teeth I muttered okay and wandered back to my room dejectedly, for I know that I have lost the car.

<lj:music>Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here</lj:music>

Like a bloody, moist, fetus being ejected out a womans heaving vagina and blossoming into a baby, I have been birthed into the world of Livejournal. I am just taking this time to reflect on the wonders of what it is to call yourself a Livejournal user. I feel as though a new chapter in my life has began. One where I will have an outlet for my fears, my frustrations and my foulness. I will admit it, I was skeptic in the beginning to Livejournal. But as Booker T. Washington once said, "cast down your buckets where you are." What Booker T. Washington was trying to say (or Big T. as he liked to be called) is that I learned to trust the many wonderful Livejournal users that make this great community work, and eventually I came to love you all. Be sure to expect many more wonderfully descriptive pieces of writing from this Livejournal user in the not-so-distant future, but for now I must bid you wonders of human flesh, and brains, and hair, and vital organs adue, so until next time: Live well and prosper!

My step-dad just said the funniest thing I have heard out of him. I was eating dinner and my mom and him were talking, and he yells, "Hey Chris, do you want to hear the golden rule in life." Now I am thinking it will have to do something with like kindness or respect, but he comes out and says, "He who has the gold, rules." I couldn't control myself and i burst into laughter and so did my mom, it was a great moment in the Sharp-Galbraith-Wolfe-Cooley relationship...jesus my family is weird.
